HOW TO DRAW |
These are the usual steps I take to draw a picture. Obviously, I have to start with a drawing/scene from an episode. I record pretty much every one, so I just watch until I find a scene that catches my eye; I then pause the tape and draw from it. Here's the one I chose for this: |

Eyes are always first, no matter what. I had to learn this the hard way, after wasting a lot of paper that was ruined from all the erasing I was doing. |

Next comes hair. I start from the hair around the eyes and work my way out. |

Then comes the body, including the most difficult part: the chin. For some odd reason, the chin is the hardest part for me; I spend more time on that than any other part of the drawing. |

Then my version of "coloring". I draw in the shadows and colors by sketching lighter or darker with the pencil. I find real color to be a hassle; if I have colored pencils or markers to use, I spend way too much time trying to decide the exact shade of red, blue, brown, yellow, or whatever, to make something and I stress myself out, so graphite grey pencil lead is the only one I use ^^. |

To finish it all off, I darken the lines to make them stand out more and I sign it. Whew! Not too bad, huh? |
